Data access & deletion requests

You control the personal data FastFix holds about you. This page explains your rights and exactly how to use them.

Your rights

Access

Get a copy of the personal data we hold about you, in a portable format.

Rectification

Correct anything inaccurate — you can edit your profile and vehicles yourself at any time.

Erasure

Have your account and associated data deleted, subject to records we must keep by law.

Restriction / objection

Ask us to pause processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests.

Portability

Receive your account, vehicle and booking data as a machine-readable file.

Withdraw consent

Turn off location permission in your browser, or unsubscribe from marketing emails.

How to make a request

  1. 1. Send the request

Email [privacy@yourdomain.com] from the address on your FastFix account with the subject “Data request”, and say which right you are exercising.

  2. 2. Identity check

We confirm the request came from you. If we cannot match it to an account we may ask for one further piece of information — never more than we need.

  3. 3. We action it

We locate your data across the account, vehicle, booking and support records and prepare the response, or carry out the correction or deletion.

  4. 4. We reply within one month

If the request is complex we may extend by up to two further months and will tell you why within the first month. Requests are free unless they are manifestly unfounded or excessive.

What deletion means

When we delete your account we remove your profile, vehicles and saved preferences within 30 days, and instruct our providers to do the same. We keep booking, invoice and payment records for 6 years because tax law and dispute handling require it; those records are restricted so they are only used for that purpose. Garages you have already booked keep their own service records as independent controllers — contact them directly about those.

Mechanics and garages

Garage owners can request access to or deletion of their listing and account data in the same way. Removing a listing takes it off the marketplace immediately; agreement acceptance records and completed booking history are retained as described above.

Still not happy?

Email [privacy@yourdomain.com] and we will look again. You can also complain to your data protection authority — the Information Commissioner's Office (UK) or the Data Protection Commission (Ireland). Full details of our processing are in the privacy policy.
